If you’re in California and planning to change up your home styling for the season, mark your calendars for Los Angeles’ biggest design event.

The fifth Los Angeles Design Festival will showcase the trendier face of the city, putting its productivity and artistic side to the spotlight. “Our intent is to galvanize the individuals and organizations who make Los Angeles such a creative and productive city to celebrate design during the same collective moment on the calendar, shining a spotlight on Los Angeles as the global design capital that it is,” said festival co-runner Haily Zaki via Houzz.

Highlights of the festival include visits around eclectic Los Angeles neighborhoods, as well as studio and garden tours. Plans about the restoration of Los Angeles River will also take center stage along with various parties and gatherings to celebrate the vibrant style of the city. Other noteworthy events include the “Women Can Build” photo exhibit, Dwell Magazine’s annual trade show called “Dwell on Design”, and Chinatown Design Night.

This year’s design extravaganza runs from May 28 to June 14. For more information about the event, visit the LADF website.
